Ready, Respectful and Safe

Welcome to Oak

Meet the Teacher

Mrs Harris

Hi, I’m Mrs Harris, and I am the teacher in Oak Class. I have been teaching at Kirklevington Primary School for many years and absolutely love being part of such a wonderful school community.

My favourite subject to teach is Science, especially practical lessons where children can investigate, explore and discover things for themselves. I enjoy watching pupils use their problem-solving skills, think critically and develop their understanding through hands-on learning. I also have a real passion for reading and love sharing books with my class. It’s amazing where a good story can take your imagination!

Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family, going for walks and horse riding.

In Oak Class, we have both Year 5 and Year 6 children. As the oldest pupils in the school, Year 6 children have the opportunity to take on a range of additional responsibilities, including becoming Sports Leaders and members of the School Leadership Team. These important roles help make our school an even better place for everyone. Year 5 children in both Elm and Oak Classes also have the opportunity to become School Ambassadors, visiting other schools, sharing ideas and representing our school with pride.

Oak Class is a fantastic place to learn and grow. We are proud to follow our school values: Be Ready, Be Respectful and Be Safe. We work hard, learn lots and have plenty of fun along the way!
